Day 1 : Delhi to Manali

Assemble at R K Ashram Metro Station, in Delhi at 17:00 hrs & board your bus for Manali. Overnight bus journey.

Day 2 : Manali

Arrive in Manali, in the morning & pick will be arranged to drop us to our hotel in Manali. On arrival breakfast will be served & later followed by Lunch. After resting for couple of hours we take an acclimatization walk & also visit the famous Manu temple & Hadimba Devi temple followed by a visit to the local market, here you can do a bit of shopping, buy anything necessary for the trek like e.g Poncho (Rain Sheet) locally know as "Barsati", gloves, local woollen socks etc...

 

In the evening Introduction with the trekking & camping team, followed by few tips on packing & brief idea about the journey ahead. Overnight at hotel in Manali.

Day 3 : Drive from Manali - Naggar - Jana (2100 mts)

Drive duration - (Approx 2 hrs)

 

After breakfast we drive to Naggar visit the Russian Art museum / Naggar castle, Krishna temple, etc... followed by lunch & then drive down to our first campsite at Jana. In the evening visit the famous Jana waterfall. Overnight in tents at Jana.

Day 4 : Trek from Jana to Mati Kochhar ( 2340 mts)

Trek duration - (Approx 4 hrs) 

 

After breakfast we move to our next campsite at Mati Kochhar, the route take us through a thick pine forest, if we our lucky we might be able to spot some wildlife. Lunch will be served once we reach our campsite. In the evening explore the surroundings. Overnight in tents at Mati Kochhar

Day 5 : Trek from Mati Kochhar to Bijli Mahadev (2460 mts)

Trek duration - (Approx 3 hrs) 

 

Today we trek to the famous Bijli Mahadev temple. Bijli Mahadev is one of the sacred temples in the region dedicated to Lord Shiva. The 60 feet high staff of Bijli Mahadev temple glistens like a silver needle in the sun. In this temple of lightning, it is said that the tall staff attracts the divine blessings in the form of lightning. It is believed that the priest of the temple has to restore the Shiva linga placed inside the temple using butter and sattoo after every lightning as it shatters to pieces with flash of lightning. Both the Kullu & Parvati valleys can be viewed from here. Overnight in tents at Bijli Mahadev.

Day 6 : Trek from Bijli Mahadev to Chaman ( 1800 mts)

Trek Duration - (Approx 3 hrs) 

 

From Bijli Mahadev we trek into Parvati Valley to our next campsite at Chaman. Overnight in tents at Chaman.

Day 7 : Chaman - Manikaran - Kasol (1640 mts)

Trek duration - (Approx 3 hrs)

 

After breakfast we trek to the road head & drive to Manikaran for lunch followed by a visit the famous Gurudwara & hot water springs. Overnight at hotel in Kasol.

Day 8 : Kasol - Bhuntar - Delhi

After a leisurely breakfast time for some last minute shopping followed by lunch & later drive down to Bhuntar to board our bus for Delhi in the evening at approx 17:00 hrs. Overnight bus journey.
Day 9 : Delhi

Arrive in Delhi in the morning approx 08:30 hrs & start your onward journey back home with a backpack full of memories
 
This trek route covers all major attractions in both Kullu & Parvati Valley within a short time period & also with an average of only 3 to 4 hours of trekking per day, hence its an ideal trek for people to enjoy the beauty of the Himalayan mountain range & the dense pine forest covering it. - Volvo bus from Delhi to Manali & Bhuntar to Delhi.

 

- Qualis / Scorpio or similar from Manali to Bhuntar for all road journeys besides trekking days & as mentioned in the itinerary above.

Exclusion

1. Any kind of train or air fare.

 

2. Paragliding, Zorbing or Horse riding cost.

 

3. Expenses of personal nature such as phone calls, outside eatables, drinks (Mineral Water, Aerated /Alcohol Drinks), laundry, tips, etc.

 

4. Cost of any form of insurance, rescue, evacuation, hospitalization, etc.

 

5. Any change in the itinerary, stay on account of flight/ train cancellation due to bad weather, ill health and road block etc... factors which are beyond our control.

 

6. Any other expense not mentioned in the 'cost includes' column.

  • Nature is fun to explore but not a toy to exploit. Respect its harmony and maintain the balance needed to retain its beauty and treasures. Please abide the specific guidelines we share with you on the trip.
  • This trip is not a regular excursion / exercise with family and friends. It unlocks the wonderful world of nature and brings its magic alive. Do choose the trip to be nature’s special guest.
  • Like all outdoor trips, this one requires basic fitness. Also, you will be responsible for taking care of your personal belongings.
  • Your experience of the trip depends on a lot of factors like the climatic conditions, your health conditions and the overall physical terrain.

Disclosures on medical conditions

 

  • It is mandatory that you visit your personal physician before enrolling for the trip if you suffer from any illness of any kind. Please disclose any medical condition / history to the organizers of the trip so that the best possible arrangements can be carried out post approval.
  • As organizers of the trip, we will be responsible for providing basic first aid throughout the trip. In case of unexpected mishaps or accidents, we will arrange for the injured patron to be taken to the nearest medical hospital wherever possible. The medical expenses will have to be borne by the patrons themselves.

Payment, refund and cancellation terms

 

  • Eligibility for this Outdoor trip is 12 years, however for some adventures the age criteria may differ kindly check before you enroll yourself or children
  • We do not have a child rate for our trips unless mentioned.
  • We will try our best to follow the itinerary of the trip shared with you but bear in mind those factors out of our control that may change the schedule.
  • You will be required to make the full payment at the time you confirm your enrolment for the trip.
  • In case you opt for cancellation, no requests for transfer or postponement will be considered.
  • The refund you will be entitled to will strictly follow the time schedule below.
     -  You get a 50% refund, if your cancellation reaches us more than 30 days prior to departure.

-   You get a 25% refund, if your cancellation reaches us 15-29 days prior to departure.

-   You get no refund, if your cancellation reaches us only 15 or less days prior to departure.

 

  • Please note that ‘The Nomadic Quest’ reserves the right of refusal and the right to cancel any booking (for example when the basic feasible quota of people required has not been met). In such an event, as a participant you will be entitled to a refund.
  • In the event of uncontrollable factors like landslides, avalanche, civil strife, war, transportation delays, etc, it will not be possible to issue refunds but we will surely take all necessary steps to assist you in the situation.
  • The cost mentioned above is for Indian citizens. Foreigners / NRIs will need to pay extra if and as applicable.
